What Does Professional Gutter Cleaning in Cambridge Involve?
Gutter cleaning is more than scooping out leaves. We clear the whole rainwater system, check it flows, and flag any faults before they turn into the damp problems that cost far more to fix.
Full System Clear
We clear the gutters of leaves, moss, silt and debris, then flush and rod the downpipes to make sure water actually flows away rather than backing up. Valleys and hopper heads — common blockage points on Cambridge's older and larger properties — are cleared too. Debris is bagged and removed, not left in your garden.
We work from ladders, towers or, for hard-to-reach gutters on tall terraces, high-reach equipment, so even three-storey Cambridge properties are cleared safely.
Inspection While We're There
Being up at gutter level is the ideal moment to spot early problems, so every clean includes a visual check of the gutters, brackets, joints and the fascia behind. Loose brackets, leaking joints and the first signs of rotten fascia timber are all noted, so you can deal with them before they escalate.
If we find a fault, we tell you plainly and quote separately — there is never any pressure, and the clean is a service in its own right, not a way in to selling you a new roofline.
How Often You Need It
Most Cambridge homes need their gutters cleared once a year, ideally in late autumn after the leaves have fallen. Properties on the city's many tree-lined streets, or with overhanging trees, often need clearing twice a year to stay ahead of blockages.
